Fostering Change: Social Initiatives Transforming Communities

Social initiatives are purpose-driven endeavors that seek to address societal issues, champion positive change, and enhance the well-being of communities. These initiatives encompass a wide spectrum of efforts, from grassroots movements to large-scale projects initiated by organizations or governments. Their core focus is to tackle social, environmental, or economic challenges by engaging communities, creating awareness, and implementing sustainable solutions.

Labour Day Celebration

Sessions are concluded with distribution of sweets to the workers. Needless to say a healthy and a strong workforce ensures a healthy growth for the organization.

Workforce is what makes a difference to a company. And there can be no better day to celebrate the spirit of workmanship than the Labour Day itself. At Rajhans (Desai-Jain) Group, we understand the importance of our workforce. Thus we conduct sessions every year on “General Awareness Training on Health & Safety”. The session enables the staff and the workers at our various construction sites to gain knowledge on health and safety. Construction being a rapidly growing industry in the nation, demands a healthy and a competent workforce on a large scale. This session adds impetus to the construction workers as it highlights the benefits of health and safety.

A safe work environment in construction is essential and required by the Occupational and Health Safety Administration (OSHA). Making workers aware of the hazards, safety procedures and accident prevention can help to reduce injuries amongst the workers. Training supports employees by providing guidelines that help them to prevent themselves from various hazardous accidents at the site.

Safety training in construction covers a wide range of topics. Some of these include the correct storage of various materials, stacking items, using machinery to move materials. Apart from these topics, the sessions also highlights the importance of fall prevention systems and the precautions required in different situations. One of them being, avoiding near miss situations.

‘Think. Eat. Save.’ - An initiative to reduce foodprint!

To throw a light on the rising global disturbances, United Nations Environment Programme paved a path for World Environment Day in 1973.

To throw a light on the rising global disturbances, United Nations Environment Programme paved a path for World Environment Day in 1973. Over the years the initiative has thrown light on various environmental issues at different locations across the world.

What resulted is the fact that global issues can be resolved only when change begins at the grass root level. The revolution can happen only when every individual come ahead to play his best part.

And as a concerned group of the society, Rajhans (Desai-Jain) Group launched an awareness campaign from 1st to 20th June, 2013 in Surat City, India to contribute in eradicating this world problem. As we believe to the core that global food loss is one of the most imperative problems for the international community, and somewhere down the line one has to curb this ever-increasing issue.

The theme gave us an opportunity and a platform to raise awareness that will help fight against the global food losses and waste. We think that there is a noble message hidden in the 3 words –‘Think. Eat. Save’. Through this campaign, we endeavour to add wings to people’s lives. We aim call for action, that it’s time to think before one wastes food because what one saves can feed hunger of many people.

As the group marches towards new heights, it also plays a prominent role in creating a cleaner and a greener environment. And what can be the better way than starting awareness on ‘Think. Eat. Save.’, theme for World Environment Day-2013. After all, a bit from each one makes a difference to everyone.
